A Senior Forensic Consultant at Lineal is considered an expert and thought leader in Digital forensics and its application in the eDiscovery life cycle. They will be hands-on at every step, from consulting data collection, processing & analysis. They will be expected to mentor junior team members and be comfortable making decisions when needed.

They must be an effective communicator and comfortable in front of clients, adapting to the needs of the audience where needed. They will be hands-on carrying projects from cradle to grave, leading the forensic efforts for large multi-national clients. A deep understanding of enterprise-level technology with significant experience in industry-leading tools such as EnCase, Cellebrite, and Axiom is a must.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

•        Work with all areas of the business, consulting and educating them on all areas of digital forensics.

•        Mentor, train, and develop junior members of the team. Being an escalation point and problem solver.

•        Conduct data collection from a wide range of systems and applications in a forensically sound manner.

•        Identify gaps for workflow and training opportunities. Driving high levels of client satisfaction.

•        Communicate and consult with our clients through all channels of communication, including Face-to-Face and video conferencing.

•        Pre-sales consulting when needed.

Education & Experience:

•        Educated to degree level in either forensics or computer science.

•        Industry recognized certifications such as ACE, EnCE, CCPA, CCME, CISSP.

•        At least 5+ years’ experience working in either digital forensics or an eDiscovery role, preferably with consulting experience.

•        At least 5+ years’ experience conducting forensic collections from PC, Server, Network, Webmail, Social Media and o365 sources.

•        Experience working with email archiving platforms, Document Management Systems and Cloud computing.


·        Demonstrate the ability to forensically collect data from various systems and platforms.

·        Comfortable with industry tools such as FTK, EnCase, Cellebrite, Axiom Caine, DEFT

·        Strong working knowledge of eDiscovery processes and the EDRM model.

·        Deep technical understanding of various computer systems, both hardware and software applications

·        Excellent communicator and logical thinker.

·        Experience in project scoping, formulating project plans and report writing.

Additional Requirements & Desires

·        Willing to travel for business-related purposes, globally. On occasion this can be at short notice.

·        Knowledge in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby or similar (desired)

·        Experience giving evidence in court and presenting as an expert witness (desired)

·        Experience with processing & review platforms, including Nuix, Relativity, Intella (desired)
